These terms govern every service we provide at Average Watch, from movement servicing and restoration work to the sale of new and pre-owned timepieces. Please read them carefully before booking a repair or placing an order.
Average Watch offers mechanical and quartz watch servicing, movement overhauls, strap replacement, water resistance testing, and authenticity verification. We also sell curated timepieces from established manufacturers and emerging microbrands. Any service outside this list requires a written estimate before work begins.
Before any repair or restoration, we provide a detailed written estimate covering labour, replacement parts, and expected turnaround time. Work begins only after you approve the estimate. If additional issues are discovered during disassembly, we will contact you with a revised estimate before proceeding.
All movement servicing and restoration work carries a twelve-month warranty covering workmanship and the function of replaced parts. The warranty does not cover damage from impact, water ingress through misuse, or wear from normal daily use. Cosmetic condition of vintage parts is documented before work and is not covered.
Every timepiece we sell is inspected, tested, and, where applicable, verified for authenticity. Pre-owned watches are described with their true condition, including signs of wear, service history, and any replacement parts. We do not sell counterfeit goods, and we reserve the right to refuse a sale if authenticity cannot be confirmed.
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your watch, including its history, any previous repairs, and known issues. Watches sent by post must be securely packaged and insured. We are not liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging during transit to our workshop.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the service or product purchased. We are not liable for indirect losses, including lost time, inconvenience, or damage to other property. For vintage pieces, we cannot guarantee that original parts will be available; in such cases, we will discuss alternatives before proceeding.
We may decline or terminate a service if a watch is unsafe to work on, if required parts are unavailable, or if the customer fails to provide accurate information. You may cancel a service before work begins for a full refund of any deposit. Once work has started, cancellation is subject to charges for completed labour and parts.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
